History
Novoferm Nederland BV is the result of a merger between five well-known and well-respected Dutch companies; Flexion Flexidoor Debo Nederland Debo International Novoferm. A cluster of manufacturing and trading companies that is active in the construction sector. All of these companies can proudly look back on a long history of effective management and achieved excellent markets positions in their various areas of specialisation as stand-alone entities. However, synergy effects and other potential improvements were convincing arguments that led to the birth of Novoferm Nederland BV in 1999.
Novoferm Nederland BV manufactures and supplies quality door products for both the industrial and residential sectors. In operational terms, this means promotion, production, sales, installation and after-sales for sectional overhead doors, roller shutters, dock shelters and dock levellers, garage doors (both sectional and up-and-over), multifunctional access doors, door frames and loft ladders. This broad range of products and in-house capabilities makes Novoferm a true one-stop-shop supplier. With sites in Waardenburg, Roermond and Almelo, Novoferm controls all aspects of the design, manufacture and marketing of its range of products. Novoferm products find their way to foreign customers in most European countries via dealers and other group companies. Novoferm Nederland BV provides employment for about 250 people.
In 2003, Novoferm was acquired by Sanwa Shutter Corporation, a listed company on the Tokyo stock exchange . Sanwa is the leading global producer of doors, garage doors and other construction industry products. With a workforce of 8900 employees, Sanwa achieves an annual turnover of approximately $ 2.4 milliard dollars.
